Victoria Beckham: New York Fashion Week
After Victoria Beckham's Summer/Spring show earlier on this week, it was clear that her catwalk show would be one of the highlights of the Week. The famous Beckham's fashion show was in the shadow of the 9/11 memorial to the twin towers in 2001 and a minute silence was held before the show started.
Victoria's models sported pieces that seemed very relaxed, some pieces going back to the 'underwear to outwear' look that is hitting our fashion catwalks and high streets most recently.
Victoria's agile work looked particularly contrasting against the likes of fashion designers such as Kanye West whose fashion show was 2 hours long showing just how big his ego is.
Victoria said "It's about taking more classic, traditional fabrics and creasing, washing, pleating, polishing and smocking", this is what fashion should be all about, showing true talent.
After the her singing career ended, Victoria's fashion label started in 2008, where at first she was criticised for becoming a fashion designer after her pop star past, she then 3 years later; won best designer brand at the British Fashion awards and then went on the next year to become the most talked about designer in New York Fashion week.

Victoria's fashion label kicked off in 2008, after firstly being slated, 3 years later her fashion label won Designer Brand of the Year at the British Fashion Awards. In 2012 she then became the most talked about Fashion designer on Twitter after New York Fashion Week. a major step up from where she was first criticized from becoming a Fashion Designer after her Music Career ended.
At her show Beckham stated , This collection is a statement of the continuing evolution of my personal style and design ethos. I set out to refine key wardrobe pieces in new proportions developed from my signature silhouettes, techniques and fabrications.’ An impressive statement showing how her designs are constantly changing by how her style is changing.
fashion is constantly changing and Victoria is definitely keeping up with the trends and adding her own personal style in there at the same time and we're all loving it, we love how creative yet basic her designs are.
